Over the years, I have learned how to be a better person from softball. Not only has it shown me how important teams can be, but it's also taught me many life skills. Whether that be shaking off mistakes, working with a team, or bettering myself through training and practice. I also learned much about how to properly lead a group of people by example from catching. I've worked as an umpire for years, which not only improved my softball IQ, it makes me happy to get to help and watch the next generation of softball players learn and grow. I would like to continue to learn from my favorite sport for as long as possible and play college softball. Academics are also really important to me and I would like to go to a well performing school, not only for sports, but to set me on a good path for my future in the work force.
